Dress Code
DRESS CODE
  • All students must wear required class uniforms.  If not dressed appropriately, student may be asked to observe (at the discretion of ACB PAC staff.)
  • All students must wear hair pulled up and away from the face. All ballet students in Grade 1 or above must wear their hair in a bun, no bangs.
  • No jewelry of any kind is permitted in any class.
  • Split sole ballet slippers may only be worn in Grade 2 and above.
  • Ballet students should wear ballet pink tights without seams.  Tights come in a variety of shades of pink.  The pink tights required by ACB PAC are called ‘ballet pink’ by Capezio while other makers call them ‘theatrical pink.’ Any specialty dance store should be able to help you select the correct color.

CLASS UNIFORMS
  • Ballet / Tap and Pre Primary Ballet – pink tank style leotard, ballet pink or theatrical pink tights (depending on the brand) and pink ballet slippers (tap shoes are also needed for Combo classes)
  • Primary Ballet – light blue tank style leotard, ballet pink or theatrical pink tights (depending on the brand) and pink ballet slippers
  • Grade 1 Ballet – navy blue tank style leotard, matching elastic belt, ballet pink or theatrical pink tights (depending on the brand), pink ballet slippers, black soft canvas character shoes
  • Grades 2 and 3 Ballet – red tank style leotard, matching elastic belt, ballet pink or theatrical pink tights (depending on the brand), pink ballet slippers, black soft canvas character shoes
  • Grades 4 / 5 Ballet – burgundy camisole style leotard, matching elastic belt, ballet pink or theatrical pink tights (depending on the brand), pink ballet slippers, black soft canvas character shoes
  • Open, Pointe / Repertoire and Advanced Ballet – black camisole leotard, white elastic belt, ballet pink or theatrical pink tights (depending on the brand), pink ballet slippers, black soft canvas character shoes, pointe shoes as needed
  • Adult Ballet – any solid color leotard and tights, may wear ballet skirts
  • Men / Boys Ballet – white t-shirt, black tights, black ballet shoes; boys in Pre Primary and Primary levels may wear black shorts or jazz pants with black or white socks
  • Jazz – any leotard, tights, black jazz shoes; Jazz 3 and above may wear jazz pants
  • Tap – any form fitting fitness wear, black oxford tap shoes; some students may need black character style tap shoes with heels
  • Modern / Contemporary, Ballroom, World Dance, Yoga, Pilates – comfortable clothing suitable for that activity; Ballroom Dance will require character or ballroom shoes
  • Musical Theatre – women will need one pair of 1 ½ - 2 inch black character shoes and 1 ½ inch tan character shoes; men will need black jazz shoes
